New Apple iPad vs Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 - Apple finally launches 'new iPad', clear specification for a slate of new IOS will get compared to rival tablet, and do not want to be left lacking, it appears that old Sammy has started to fight again in the new Apple iPad to compare the specs with their Android offering, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.

According to the guys over at Android Community, Samsung has pushed out their own spec comparison chart comparing the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet with the new iPad to show what they consider better over the new Apple iPad offering.

So what does Samsung say that has the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 a better offer than the new iPad? Well according to the comparison chart that you can view below, the Galaxy Note 10.1 can view 2 apps simultaneously, the ability to work with 2 apps side-by-side, the ability to write as you would with a pen/pencil and paper, precision photo and image editing, ability to take notes in one app whilst seeing content in another app, and cut and paste between two apps.

Of course Samsung says that the new iPad can’t do any of the above, and also mentions that the Android packing Galaxy Note 10.1 is thinner and lighter than Apple’s latest slate.

As it stands though no doubt the Android faithful will back the Galaxy Note 10.1 whilst the iOS faithful will back the new iPad regardless, which is normally the way with these sort of things anyway.

The Android fan will opt for the Galaxy Note 10.1 and the iOS fan will opt for the new iPad as expected, but what are your views, do you think the Galaxy Note 10.1 is the better option or do you feel the new iPad comes up tops?

New Apple iPad vs Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1



Apple iPhone AT & T 4S gets 4G icon via iOS 5.1 If you belong to one IOS lover You'll no doubt know that other than Apple dishing the dirt on the 'new iPad' (strange name to call it), for Apple's newest operating system, IOS 5.1 is now available and apart from giving the camera shortcuts new, Siri and Japan for a new camera application for the iPad, it seems something else has come with IOS 5.1 for the iPhone only AT & T 4S.

According to the guys over at iDownload Blog, by way of Digeratti, it appears that the new iOS 5.1 update has delivered a 4G indicator for the iPhone 4S on AT&T and although the iPhone 4S doesn’t actually support 4G apparently AT&T can claim the iOS smartphone is 4G because it has HSPA+.

I’m sure everyone will know that the iPhone 4S doesn’t actually pack a 4G chip, so it more than likely a marketing ploy by AT&T albeit somewhat deceiving wouldn’t you agree?

Apparently with the release of the iOS 5.1it is only the AT&T iPhone 4S that has received this 4G indicator and both the Sprint and Verizon iPhone 4S do not show 4G, so although it might be a nice touch on the AT&T version it obviously doesn’t indicate that the AT&T iPhone 4S is actually a 4G smartphone.

I can’t really see the point of iOS 5.1 bringing a 4G indicator to the AT&T model and not other models unless AT&T has made some kind of deal with Apple to deceive potential new AT&T iPhone customers, might as well slap a 4G indicator in all HSPA+ capable handsets and say they are 4G.
